CONTEST RULES
2023 Football Picks Contest
1. Each week during the football season, select games will be posted on the WTLS website (www.1300wtls.com) and Tallassee Times website (www.tallasseetimes.com).
2. Contestants will pick winners and submit games by email to: mbutler@1300wtls.com. Late submissions for games that have already kicked off will be counted as a loss. *A reply will be sent with each submission to indicate that picks have been received. ^One entry per person.
3. A cumulative record will be kept throughout the season culminating with the college football bowl picks through ESPN. Contestants must then submit picks through ESPN (for bowl picks only) and join the WTLS group to be counted.
4. The contest is sponsored by Ceppo Cane Tree Service, who will award cash prizes at season’s end. Those wishing to participate but who choose to not be eligible for prizes may still do so. In the event of those individuals being among the winners, the next in line will move up or that individual may choose to donate their winnings to a select charity.
5. Standings will be updated weekly with leaders recognized on WTLS and Tallassee Times throughout the season.
6. Payout of winners will go as follows: 1st: $500, 2nd: $400, 3rd: $300, 4th: $200, 5th: $100. *In the event of ties, the amounts will be adjusted. For instance, a two-way tie for first would be a $450 payout for each winner. A three-way tie for first would be $400 per winner. A two-way tie for third would be a $250 payout for each winner.

8. WTLS staff and immediate family of such staff are ineligible for prizes.
